Your classic movies. Sesame Street style.

Sesame Street has gone a long long, way from just teaching kids how to count and the significance of letters in the (Roman) alphabet.

Reaching out to today’s increasingly attention-deficient generation, recent seasons of this long-running series have opted to throw in some parental bonus (much to the jubilation of those like me who grew up with the original)

Star Wars parody

When I first shared this clip on my Facebook page, I added in that puppeteer (and later filmmaker) Frank Oz voiced “Grover” on Sesame Street as well as Yoda in all Star Wars cinematic iterations.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire parody

Les Misérables parody

Lord Of The Rings parody

The Karate Kid parody

Yep…what inventive ways to teach today’s generation how to control themselves…
